We’re delighted to announce that March saw the completion of 27 new energy-efficient family homes we’ve been working on, as the primary electrical contractors, in conjunction with builders, Lindum Group and housing association, Accent Housing in Little Downham, near Ely, Cambridgeshire.
These new homes, which are a mix of private sale, shared ownership and affordable rent, are available with two, three or four-bedrooms, and have been part-funded by Homes England as part of the Government’s plans to provide more affordable housing for people in housing need. A number of the homes for rent and shared ownership will be offered to residents with a local connection in partnership with East Cambridgeshire District Council.
As part of Accent’s new development programme to build around 500 homes each year to tackle the national housing crisis, they have more new homes planned for East Cambridgeshire and neighbouring Huntingdonshire.
Particularly at this time when there’s a growing energy crisis, it’s really great to see another development of much-needed, energy-efficient, affordable housing completed and being occupied by residents with a local connection.
We would like to thank the entire team for a great job. Keep up the hard work!
